Late Fee
I was thinking about how we talked about being on time to preschool and I thought of an idea that seemed like fun. I was thinking that if you're late (after 9:10) then you owe the teacher a candy bar, Tiger's yogurt, or something like that. Something that would be annoying if you had to do it too many times but wouldn't make you feel bad if you were late a couple times. Just a little fun accountability. Also, if your late your child will miss the name board and the name sign in part and that's pretty important so that would also be motivating. I just had this thought today, I'm not obsessed with punctuality but I thought it might be a more positive way to promote it. Lisa

I think it's very important to be on time for dropping off, but it's very, very, important to be on time for pick up. I'm sure some of us may have errands to run after preschool before other kids get home and if we are late to pick up, that can delay the whole errand process. Maybe we could have the "late fee" only for pick up time since the person teaching is already planning on being home at 9:10. Did I make any sense???
I was thinking it could apply to drop off or pick up but whatever the majority agrees with is ok by me. And yes Becky, you did make sense. Lisa
I think its a good idea, but maybe we give everyone a freebee the first time and then if it happens again then you owe. cause you know, its bound to happen to everyone at least once.
